Mothership, ‘What If?’ performance art festival, Townhall Cavan Arts Space 2017
I was four months pregnant, dressed in a pink unitard with pink hair, gem stones stuck to my skin, holding an umbrella and an empty glitter-covered milk carton overflowing with gold foil strips. The premise was that I had landed from another planet and was trying to work out how to fit in. In advance I sought permission to enter three stores and for two hours made my way through Cavan’s main streets appropriating behaviours and poses from items and people in shops and on the street.
